The False Equivalency Comparing the Treatment of Trump to Obama

Well, it’s a new year and all indicators suggest that it is going to be another year of insanity. Trump haters should be honest and just admit that they are incapable of looking at him as a human being. Just go ahead and get it out their system, shout it from the mountain top that you hate, hate, hate Donald Trump. Another thing while at it, please stop with the lame false equivalency that Barrack Obama “was treated the same way.” Sure every President gets criticized. People say nasty things and sometimes it is downright hateful. That is the nature of the business, and President Obama did experience it, but the idea that he “was treated the same wayIs” is ludicrous.

Did 67 Senators boycott Obama’s election. Did any legendary civil rights congressman call Obama “not a legitimate President and refuse to attend the inauguration also? Were there riots because Obama won the election? Please…where was the blowback when Congressman Tulsi Gabbard tweeted out that Trump is a bitch just a few weeks ago. Who in the Bush administration called on the Military to overthrow Mr. Obama. Sure Congressman Joe Wilson shouted “you lie” at Obama during an Obama speech, but what happened to him right after that incident? The House reprimanded him, Paul Ryan, John Mc Cain, talk radio, even Fox News, and other leaders in his own party disavowed his behavior. The media denounced him, he was repeatedly called a racist and he apologized over and over and over again.

Folks, seriously…stop it! Go ahead and hate Trump if you wish, but stop with the silly false equivalency, unless you can recall any artist telling Obama to shut his mouth before he pimps Michelle, without any blowback from the media or anyone on the left. If you think that the Democrat Party leading a chant of f*** Donald Trump while the media, academia, Hollywood and the left in general stays silent is comparable to Joe Wilson saying “you lie” then go ahead and do that if you please. If you think Maxine Waters calling cabinet members scumbags is comparable to anything that happened during the reign of the great one, go ahead. If you can point to one week during the eight years when god was the President that ABC, NBC, CBS, NPR, The New York Times, The Washington Post, AP, Reuters, Yahoo News, NPR and others in the media railed against Obama in 92 percent of their coverage of him, every…single…day, then you may have a point that Obama “was treated the same way.”

It is easy to keep going because the story has been the same every day for two years. Who called for the harassment of Obama supporters, and cabinet members at restaurants, and gas stations and movie theaters simply because they did not like Obama. It is unbelievable that people are so driven by hatred of Trump that they can look at what is going on and not be bothered by it because supposedly “Obama was treated the same way.” No, he was not!

The State fair of Wisconsin changed policy and mandated that everyone participating in the fair in the future must receive sensitivity training, because a rodeo clown wore an Obama mask, even though the poor guy had also worn a Bush and a Clinton mask in the past. His life was ruined nevertheless. CNN treated the issue like it was a national crisis and covered the story of the “racist” rodeo clown for over a week. So again, please stop with the false equivalency. Joe Wilson, and people like Ted Nugent ,who told Obama to “suck on my machine gun” were aberrations during the reign of the great one. With Trump it is the norm. On a side note, Nugent never threatened the President. In any case, the response to this kind of behavior was always the same. The media rightly called them out, and everyone accepted that their behavior was not acceptable.  Wilson is probably still apologizing today and Nugent has since renounced his past behavior.

These are some other points that people keep bringing up all the time to show that Obama “was treated the same way”:

Mitch McConnell said that it was his duty to make Obama a one term President: so what! The parties differ on policy and each side wants to be in control of the Presidency so they can advance their agenda. Newt Gingrich wanted to make Clinton a one term President, Tip Oneil wanted to make Ronald Reagan a one term President, Nancy Pelosi wanted to make George Bush a one term President…nothing to see here folks, go on bout yuh business.

Pat Robertson talked about Michelle wearing a dress saying how bad it was for her to have her arms exposed, but was full of praise for a naked picture of Melania Trump: This is the perfect example of fake news in the leftist echo chamber. Pat Robertson never said anything about any such picture of Melania Trump. If he did, it would be hypocritical indeed? But Seriously! Anyone wants to compare that to the video that T.I made simulating a naked Melania Trump stripping on a table for him? Come on folks, get real please.

Sean Hannity said that “Obama is not my President.” Yes, he did. He shouldn’t have said it, but it was a one time thing. Hannity  generally does not engage in this behavior, and he himself always called people out when they were not respectful to Obama. But, as noted earlier; no President is immune from unfair treatment. Is there anyone who want’s to campare that to Robert Dinero shouting f*** Donald Trump in front of his celebrity peers to resounding applause at an awards show, while the media refused to hold him to the same standard of Obama critics?campare

Rush Limbaugh made fun of Michelle after she made a speech at a school. Oh…K…what about it, what is the point…and? People make fun of those in the public arena all the time, especially when pointing out hypocrisy. That’s politics!

Dinesh D’Souza tweeted saying “Obama is a grown up Trayvon in the White House, and a West Virginia State worker called Michelle “an ape in heels?” Again, what was the response to this? How did the media react? How many denunciations were there? The West Virginia woman caused what one news outlet described as a “national uproar,” plus she was fired. On the other hand what was the response to Bill Maher, and Wanda Sykes calling Trump an orangutan or Anna Navarro saying “he is an animal. Apologies to animals.” How about when the President went up on the capitol and he was booed by the Hispanic caucus, or when a Democrat intern shouted Mr. President f***, you, or when he was booed during his SOTU speech, or when Stephen Colbert said Mr. President your mouth is only good to be used as Vladimir Putin’s c*** holster. Are we really comparing what has been going on with Trump for the last couple of years to the eight years of Obama?

The birther issue deserves a column by itself, suffice to say for now that the same people who had no problem with Spike Lee and others a saying that George Bush blew up the levies in Louisiana to kill black people, and that he went to Iraq to avenge his father, and called him Bull Connor, are the very ones who are so offended because some kooks on the right ran away with a stupid, nutty conspiracy theory that had a life of its own in the Democrat Party when Hillary Clinton was running against Obama and even prior to that. They have no problem accusing Trump of “Russia collusion” based on nothing, but a suspicion that he may have done something nefarious, but they continue to clutch their pearls because Trump played into the stupid birther issue. Yeah, Obama “was treated the same” all right. Go figure, and gimme a break while at it!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

Paul the Apostle says that God demonstrated his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners; Christ died for us. The journey that ended on the cross at Calvary first began at a stable in Bethlehem, where the King of Glory came into our world, dwelt among us and humbled himself in obedience to the will of the father. From his very humble beginning at a stable in Bethlehem that first Christmas morning to his death on the cross, the central theme of his coming, his life and his message was God’s love for all of mankind. So consider the words of the apostle when he said “behold, what manner of love the father has given unto us? That we should be called the children of God.” It is the greatest love story ever told, the coming of Jesus Christ and his death for the sins of us all. In considering this love, let us reflect on the question that Paul asked: “who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril or sword? As it is written, for thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor, depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” As we reflect on his coming let us remember why he came, and embrace the gift that he so freely gives to all who are willing to receive it.

Merry Christmas everybody!

Trump Hatred on a Different Level

This hatred of President Donald Trump is psychotic. It is crazy that so many people think that it is ok to harbor so much hatred toward this man. Nobody is saying that anyone has to agree with President Trump’s politics or that it is wrong to criticize his brash personality. This is America. People are free to support whomever they wish and to speak out against anything they do not like, but the viciousness of the attacks on this President is absolutely startling. People should ask themselves, if using the same standard that they use to judge President Trump, would they use that same standard if Hillary Clinton or Barrack Obama was in power. What would have happened if Hillary Clinton had won the election and soon after winning, Donald Trump had declared himself as the resistance? The resistance…think about that! What if after winning the election in 2008, the very next day, before Barrack Obama was even sworn in, people were protesting his victory in the streets, violently pulling people who voted for him out of cars, protesting on campuses, blocking traffic on the streets, and celebrities everywhere calling him the most vile names that one could think of? Is the hatred for the President so strong that people are happy to continue behaving so irrationally?

The media continues their effort to sabotage his Presidency and they do not even care that they have been exposed as the partisans that they are. People have literally lost their capacity to be reasonable, for no other reason than Donal Trump is the President. Watching the madness every single day since he has been elected is hard to comprehend. It is not that President Trump is immune from criticism. There are legitimate reasons to criticize him, but my gosh, what we are witnessing on a daily basis is just beyond the pale. What also makes this madness so unbelievable is that, the same people who who fret so much about Trump’s boorishness are the ones who lecture the rest of the country about hate, bigotry and incivility. A couple of days ago Mika Brzinski on her program referred to one of President Trump’s cabinet members as a “butt boy.” People commonly refer to the President of the United States as an orangutan and excuse it by saying it is not racist because he is white. Celebrities everywhere belt out the refrain f*** Donald Trump on a regular basis. Understand. These are not internet trolls, these are high profile personalities. Comedians have made jokes about the President and his daughter committing incest. One actor talked about Barron Trump getting sexually molested as payback for blocking children at the border, a young rapper told the President to “shut up before I pimp Melania.” And on an on it goes none stop every single day. Just because people hate the President and he comes across as not a nice guy people are ok with this behavior.

Has the basic sense of decency gone out of the window simply because people do not like the President? Are people really ok with this irrational behavior toward the President? Do people understand that the disappointment that they feel over the election of Donald Trump was felt just as strong by the people who were unhappy over the election of Barrack Obama. Again, what would the response be if people behaved this way toward President Obama simply because those who did not vote for him did not like him? The cries of racism would be none stop, in fact; the cries of racism were none stop even though people did not behave this way toward President Obama. This does not mean that no one behaved inappropriately toward President Obama. Sure there were some who took it a bit far in their opposition to Obama. Every President experiences that, but what we are seeing here is just on a whole different level…and people think that this is ok. They excuse it by citing Trump tweets, or their private interpretation of something that he said, because he called Senator Warren Pocahontas, or because he called Omarasa a dog. Often Trump is responding to personal attacks. It is fair to say that he should be above the fray and behave more Presidential, but does that mean that it is ok for Stephen Colbert to go on TV and say that the only thing Trump’s mouth is good for is to be Vladimir Putin’s c*** holster or for Kathy Griffin to mock behead him, for former Obama administration members to call for a military coup, for a democrat Senator to call him a bi***, for a Democrat Party leader to lead a crowd in a chant of f*** Donald Trump, or for celebrities to threaten to beat the man with a baseball bat? And it never stops. Are we really ok with this? Does that mean that the constant name calling, insults, and attempts to sabotage his Presidency and defame the man is legitimate? People have lost their capacity to think because they dislike Donald Trump and it is a shame? No one has to agree with Donald Trump, but we are better than this.

The Racism Wolf

Is it possible for a white person to be a jerk to a black person without the white person being a racist? Is it just a handful of people who are just so sick and tired of the constant appeal to race in this country, where every single offensive thing that a white person does towards a black person is immediately chalked down to racism? This is ridiculous! No matter what the offence is, no matter the circumstances under which it happens, the cry is immediately RACISM, then the mission to defame people’s character and destroy their good name immediately begins. Sometimes an offence may legitimately be racially tinged, but it does not automatically make the person a racist. People sometimes say things to cause pain because they feel hurt by something someone may have said or done. Human beings are flawed. They lie, they cheat, they steal, they kill and they commit all different egregious acts for many different reasons. Human beings are imperfect, but the way that they live their lives is important. They should be judged on that basis and not labeled as racists simply because of imagined prejudice, or even an offbeat racially tinged statement or act.

Observe that the charge of racism always goes in one direction. It is always a white person being racist towards some black victim. On the other hand, people make excuses when the offenses are committed against a white person, because target of the offense is the “wrong” color. They tell us that it is impossible for black people to be racist towards white people, or that the offense or crime “was not racially motivated.” We have examples of people making some of the most awful statements on a daily basis about white people, every single day in the media, and these statements are considered as insightful, as edgy or “speaking truth to power.” whimper There is a large segment of the population who are actually ok with the constant race baiting, and appeal to identity politics, and they literally get angry at the people who highlight the damaging nature of this behavior. They are invested in the idea that America is a racist society toward black people, and they will stop at nothing to “prove” that this narrative is true. People who have lived exemplary lives can have all of the goodwill that they have accumulated over their lifetime disappear for the slightest word slip, inappropriate comment, or moment of frustration. Now, for the umpteenth time, no one is saying that racism does not exist. Of course it does. It would be foolish to think that in a country of almost 350 million people of so many different races, ethnic groups, religions and various other backgrounds that racism does not exist. But in the big picture, race is not the big issue that people make it out to be. It is a political football that that has been weaponized and magnified by the media to advance an agenda.  Of course there are people who have had really terrible experiences that can be attributed directly to racism. In those instances society has to be honest, acknowledge the issue at hand, confront it aggressively, and put systems in place to make improvements where necessary, then keep moving forward.

Someone needs to explain why it is that when it comes to the issue of racism, so many Americans expect perfection. They absolutely refuse to treat racism like they treat the other problems that exist in a society of imperfect people.  They jump for joy whenever something happens that they can attribute to racism. That way they can triumphantly say “see I told you so.” They then go on to gleefully paint “the system,” and a whole group of people as racists because of an action that they either interpret to be racist or from time to time may really be a legitimate case of racism. In this environment, it seems that people believe that the only reason anything bad ever happens to black people is because of racism. It does not matter how much the evidence in the everyday lives of black people contradict the narrative that black people are under siege, those invested in the idea that it is true will never accept it. They are happy to run and provide isolated incidents and other anecdotal “evidence” that “proves” their case. These people do not care that their constant appeal to race drives a wedge between Americans. In the case of white liberals, they get to present themselves as honest. They expect points, and they expect to win favor from black people for “acknowledging their privilege,” and “speaking truth to power.” In the meanwhile, spurred on by their white liberal Democrat enablers, too many black people latch on to the victim mentality. It is time to expose this racket for what it is, and for people to stop being scared about speaking out against it. It does not matter if people call you insensitive, privileged, uncaring, sell out, coon uncle Tom, house nig*** or any of the names that the people who are invested in keeping the divide going may call you. More people need to speak out because when the real wolf shows up, no one will believe it.

The Russia Collusion Ruse Continues

Opposition to a sitting President is nothing new. It’s politics, the way the game is played. Republicans famously said that they wanted Obama to be a one term President. Based on their policy and ideological differences that was a legitimate position to take, and they opposed him fervently. There is absolutely nothing wrong with vigorously opposing the President based on these differences. It is all part of the political process.  What we are seeing with President Trump however is something that we have never, ever witnessed before in the history of this country. Every single day on all of the networks (except Fox News), we literally get a never ending flow of negative coverage on this President. It is all bad, all the time! In addition, the losing party has decided that they cannot let the will of the people stand, and they have embarked on the effort to engage in a soft coup to topple the President. The media has allied itself as a willing accomplice in the effort get rid of Trump as they ratchet up the hysteria on a daily basis. It is incredible to watch as celebrities, academics, the media, athletes and other prominent personalities across the cultural landscape direct their hatred at the President, and think that their behavior is justified because they do not like the result of the election from two years ago.

Democrats have now decided that it is a criminal offense to engage in none disclosure agreements. As the Mueller investigation into so called Russian collusion continues to fall apart, the Democrats are now grasping at straws in their effort to get President Trump. The hatred that they have for this man knows no bounds and they are showing that they will stop at nothing in their ongoing effort to delegitimize his Presidency. At every turn, the investigation has failed to produce a single iota of evidence that Trump colluded with anyone, let alone the Russians. The investigation itself was not launched based on any evidence that a crime was committed, or anything that Trump did, but was based strictly on the effort to find anything…something…that could link Trump to unlawful connections to the Russians. The effort to taint Trump has been relentless, despite it though; Robert Mueller has produced nothing. This has not stopped the constant drumbeat of collusion talk coming from the media, pundits, talking heads and Democrat party politicians. Talk of collusion continues unabated in the hope that constantly repeating it would get it to stick. Now, after two years of the unyielding effort to get Trump on Russian collusion, they are now saying that none disclosure agreements between the President, and two women broke campaign finance laws. Pushing the idea that none disclosure agreements are now illegal is an act of desperation by the Democrats and should cause even none supporters of Trump to worry.

If the President of the United States can be targeted in this manner, then no citizen is safe from the vengeful hand of powerful Government officials determined to destroy anyone in their path. It does not matter how much one despises Trump, this kind of politics is dangerous and people should be wary of it. Just take out the name Trump and replace it with Barrack Obama or Hillary Clinton for one moment. Using the same standard that is being used to go after Trump on this Russian collusion ruse, and now campaign finance violation accusation; would the reaction be the same if it was used to go after any of these sacred Democrat icons?  People need to put aside their abject, unadulterated hatred of Donald Trump and stand against this abusive nonsense. Go ahead and oppose the President if you disagree with him politically, or philosophically. That is everyone’s right, but working to undermine and sabotage the legitimately elected President of the United States is a truly egregious act.

Rest assured ladies and gentlemen, regardless of how anyone tries to frame it, there is absolutely nothing…nothing that even suggests that President Trump worked with the Russians or anyone to work against Hillary Clinton in the Presidential elections. The investigation was not based on any evidence that he did, and since it was launched not one piece of evidence has been found that shows he did. Essentially, what happened is that the Russians did what they always do when they tried to cause problems in our elections. The Trump haters decided that Trump must be involved, then they launched an investigation to prove that he was. That’s it! With all of the leaks to the media that have occurred since this man has been elected, if these people had anything on President Trump to show that he colluded with the Russians, do not doubt for one minute that someone would have leaked it to the press. This has not happened to date. Pay attention to the details not the hysteria.

The Politics of and the Weaponization of Race

Is it possible that a white person may be a jerk to a black person without the white person being a racist? Is it just a handful of people who are just so sick and tired of the constant appeal to race in this country, where every single offensive thing that a white person does towards a black person is immediately chalked down to racism? Observe that the charge of racism always goes in one direction. It is always a white person being racist towards some black victim. On the other hand, people make excuses when offenses are committed against a white person by a black individual, because target of the offense is the “wrong” color. They tell us that it is impossible for black people to be racist towards white people, or that the offense or crime “was not racially motivated.” We have examples of people making some of the most awful statements on a daily basis about white people, every single day in the media, and these statements are considered as insightful, as edgy or “speaking truth to power.”

The just want to promote the narrative.

In the case of white liberals, they get to present themselves as honest. They expect points, a pat on the back, and they expect to win favor from black people for “acknowledging their white privilege,” and “speaking truth to power.” In the meanwhile, spurred on by their white liberal Democrat enablers, too many black people latch on to the victim mentality. Politics and Chaos at the Border

Illegal aliens are using their children as human shields and the left, the media and the Democrat Party is ecstatic about it because it gives them an opportunity to bash President Trump and make him look bad. This is some truly sick stuff! These people trying to cross the border illegally are deliberately putting their children in harms way in a game of poker, daring border agents to use the necessary force to stop them from entering the country illegally. The illegal aliens are using their children as human shields! They are trying to cross the border illegally and hoping that agents  who have a responsibility to protect the nation’s borders will not do their jobs as they try to storm across the border using their children as shields. They are putting their children in harm’s way in the hopes that if the border agents do respond, the images created by the response to their illegal activities would create an emotional backlash that would force the hand of the Trump administration. Where is the outrage at the parents using their children in this manner? This is absolutely incredible to watch.

The caravan is made up of mostly men, some of whom have been violent as they attempted to breach the border security, attacking border agents with rocks in the process. The American public was told for weeks that it is mostly women and children looking for a better life, but as we have learned time and time again; the legacy media cannot be trusted. The women and children that are part of the caravan are being used as pawns in this dangerous game. As many of the people tried to storm the border, agents responded by using tear gas on them. It was the right response. They had the choice of using tear gas or other force in confronting the horde as they tried to cross illegally.

It is sad that children are getting mixed up in this, and no one who has a heart can look at the situation and feel any gratification seeing children caught up in the mess created by the people who brought them along, but every country has the right to protect its borders. Every country has the right to put systems in place to control who it allows in it, and the process that must be followed by those who desire to migrate. Laws do not become irrelevant because people are going through a difficult time. The country now has over 22 Million illegal aliens living in the United States, and it is not xenophobic to ask that people wishing to come here follow the country’s laws. Of course, in trying to solve the problem their needs to also be a humane response, but people are not entitled to American citizenship or residence.

One of the factors that is being overlooked by the media is the international law regarding refugees. Economics are not a valid reason to claim refugee status. People must be fleeing religious, political or other persecution in order to claim refugee status. In addition, refugees do not have the right to choose the country in which they seek asylum. After fleeing the country of persecution, they must seek refuge in the first country that can offers them the protections that they seek. In this case, that country is Mexico. These are the international laws. The Mexican government has offered them refugee status, offered them jobs and made other offers to them, but they have turned down all of these offers because their desire is to get to the United States.

More than anything, this is the middle finger to Donald Trump by the people who have helped to organize this bombardment of illegals at the border. This is sinister, especially when one considers the plight of the children caught in the middle of it.  The Democrats have no interest in solving this problem because they get to use it as a political football to score political points against President Trump. One has to only look at the comments at the self righteous Kamala Harris who talked about ICE agents being perceived as members of the KKK. Yesterday the empty vessel known as Alexandria Ocasio Cortez compared the illegals trying to breach the border to Jews fleeing Nazi Germany. No, they are not! This woman seriously needs to read a book. But this is par for the course with Democrat politicians.  In their lust for power, the more victims that they can get, the better it is for them. They see all of these people coming into the country as victims who they will ensure see themselves as, and remain victims. The Democrats see them as a potential reliable voting block for the Democrat party. Why solve the problem when they can use it as a club over the head of their political opponents?

Tulsi Gabbard Calls the President a Bit**

Let’s give a big cheer to civility! The other day, Tulsi Gabbard sent out the following tweet “hey @realdonaldtrump: being Saudi Arabia’s bit** is not “America First. What is wrong with these people? Folks, understand that this is a United States congresswoman addressing the President of the United States as a bit** because she disagreees with him on policy. Now there is a legitimate questions that one could raise about President Trumps decision to not take further action against Saudi Arabia for the killing of the Washington Post journalist Jamal Kashoggi, but it is not as simple a case as many people are making it out to be. There are solid arguments to make on both sides as to what the appropriate measures are in response to the killing. Those in disagreement with the President’s decision should use the tools available to them to make their case and let their ideas triumph or die in the arena of ideas. Instead what we have is a congresswoman sending out tweets calling the President of the United States a bitch. What do you suppose the response would be if some conservative politician, celebrity, or commentator referred to the President Obama as a bit**? The cries of racism would be loud and non stop. No one called him a bit*** when he refused to offer strong support to the Iranian people who rose up in protest on the streets of Teheran over their elections results. The Iranian regime responded with a heavy hand and protesters were killed on the streets. Many GOP congressmen opposed President Obamas Iran nuclear deal. Just like the response to Trump’s decision on Saudi Arabia, a lot of them felt Obama’s deal with Iran was weak and not in America’s best interest, but no one called President Obama Iran’s bi***

The hypocrisy of the left knows no bounds, and the response to this tweet by Tulsi Gabbard is exhibit number one million, that as long as you are a Democrat or on the left in general, there is no limit to what you are allowed to say or do. This is amzing to behold. This is how these people have been behaving since this man became the President. It has been non stop day in and day out simply because they are dissatisfied with the election results. We have so many examples of this type of behavior, yet all we ever hear is how uncivil Donal Trump is.

If there is anyone who is still wondering why Trump’s supporters are so loyal, then this should tell that person why. When people see the way that this man has been treated, and the blatant double standard that has been applied to him, they refuse to abandon him. It is absolutly unbelievable the lack of self awareness that exists in the Democrat Party, the media and the left in general. These are the people who present themselves as the paragons of virtue. These are the people who would lecture the people of this country who support the President’s policies. These are the people who act superior to average Americans, They think that people are too stupid to notice the disdain that they have for them. Tulsi Gabbard is a timely reminder that being on the left (as Dennis Prager loves to say) means never having to say that you are sorry, or in the event that she does say it; all will be forgiven and forgotten. To the leff, and many Democrats around the  country this will not mean a thing as they selfrighteously thumb their noses at the President and his supporters. It is ok though, as long as they continue to behave in this deranged manner, they also lay themselves bare for the whole country to see. Let them continue with this crazy, unhinged, hateful intolerance. The more that they do, the more that the President’s supporters will continue to support him, flaws, warts and all.

The Politics of Race baiting and the Role it Plays

The Democrat Party’s main goal with black voters is to ensure that blacks as a group are single issue voters. That issue is racism! As long as the Democrat Party is successful with that strategy they will continue to win the black vote. It does not matter how terrible Democrat Party policies are, as long as they could successfully cast their political opponents as racists, that single issue would almost guarantee that blacks vote Democrats. Nothing else matters if race is the single most important thing to the constituency of black voters. It ensures that the Democrat Party will not have to do the necessary hard work to win the black community, and they can take it for granted if all they have to do is point at the racist who only wants to hold the black man down. Just take a look at the elections from a few weeks ago, and one could see this age old Democrat Party strategy in full play. It was most evident in the Florida and Georgia race.

Andrew Gillum the black and smooth Tallahassee Mayor who ran for Governor, shamelessly played the race card in his quest to become Florida’s next Governor. Over and over again, he tried to besmirch the character of Representative Ron DeSantis by implying that DeSantis is a racist. Of course there is nothing in Desantis’s life that suggests one bit that he is a racist. His life, his efforts, his record in general shows that he is a decent man who treats people of all stripes fairly. That did not matter to his political opponents though. If they could successfully get the racist moniker to gain some traction then stick, they stood a chance of defeating him, and it almost worked. In a race that should not have even been competitive, given Gillum’s awful record as Mayor, despite all of his shady dealings, and the FBI looking into his affairs as Mayor, and his stated desire to turn Florida into Cuba, Gillum and his cronies in the Democrat Party was able to somehow keep making the issue about race. That appeal to race became one of Gillum’s go to moves because he knew how successful it has been for decades. Ideas take a back seat to emotions when it comes to many black voters. Gillum knew this and he played the game like a race baiting professional.

It was no different in Georgia. The tactics were a little different, but the overall strategy was the same. Try to successfully label your opponent as a racist and thereby increase your chances of being competitive. That’s it! It’s a simple, devious plan, but it somehow seems to work every time. Stacy Abrams, whose policies if successful, like her socialist compatriot’s in Florida, is bound to take Georgia on the road to Cuba was able to convince many black Georgia voters that her political opponent was hell bent on suppressing the black vote and taking black people backwards. One more time black people overwhelmingly bought in to the ruse. In doing so, Ms. Abrams was able to successfully remove the battle from the arena of ideas into the casino where she could play the race card, and where she knows that her chances of being successful increases exponentially. The race eventually came down to Ms. Abrams assassinating the character of her political opponent, accusing him of all manner of  racist stunts, thereby changing the discussion from policy to race. Even now that the election is over, she is out in the media-sphere making charges of racist voter suppression, refusing to accept her losses gracefully. She continues to stir up the racist divide by making these baseless claims, blaming everything on racism knowing that she can get away with it because no one in the legacy media will challenge her. This is your Democrat Party, naked for everyone to see, but it makes no difference to many black people. They will continue to look at all of the problems faced by the black community in cities like Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, Baltimore and all of the other cities run into the ground by Democrats and continue to support them because after all those other folks want to take black people back to the halcyon days of lynching, segregation and Jim Crow. The great irony is that every single racist law that was ever passed in this country was passed by a Democrat President, Congress, Governor and State legislature. Every one! Every atrocity from the trail of tears to the Ocoee and Rose wood massacre were the work of Democrat politicians, and the Klu Klux Klan was only ever associated with the Democrat Party. Ever! And they’ve never apologized for their racist past. They just turned around and started blaming the other side and calling them racist for everything. They’ve somehow managed to convince people that “the parties switched.” Go figure!

Continue in the Spirit of Thanksgiving

We live in the greatest country that has ever existed. Just as no individual is perfect, no country is perfect. We can be angry and resentful about the past, and all that is wrong about the country, or we can acknowledge how blessed by God we are, and be appreciative for all that we have, while continuing to work on becoming even better. The freedoms, the security, the privileges and the amenities that we take for granted and enjoy in our daily lives are unlike anything that any country has ever experienced in the entire history of the world. It has often been said that life is made up of the sum total of all our experiences, the good, the bad, the ugly and everything in between. These experiences help to shape us and make us who we are. We can grow as a result of them or we can languish because of them. It is a choice. Many times it is not easy to move on and be positive about life because of all the bad that has happened. It may often require a herculean effort to keep ploughing ahead, but with God on our side all things are possible. Perhaps a timely reminder from Paul the Apostle would be helpful to us about what is possible when we trust in God. Paul said I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Keep an open mind and be positive about the future. Do not be discouraged, and remember, Thanksgiving may be over, but it is important to keep the spirit of thanksgiving alive. God bless!
